Hawaiian construction did a good job helping with almost a full interior rebuild after a major water damage. Robert is very knowledgeable and is an industry expert in this area. Very reliable in terms of fixes and solution.. and very well supported by Julie.

Robert did an outstanding job helping us navigate through a tough major build defect situation. He helped us by giving insurance pointers, researching official records, finding the root cause of the issue, working on permits, engaging an engineering firm, coming up with a proposal to address the problem and suggesting additional resources as well. Above all, we appreciated his friendliness, dedication, honesty and clarity from the start and throughout this whole ordeal. While we hope never to deal with construction issues again, we know to call Robert next time if it ever happens.

I had a fire in my living room ceiling caused by the wood stove flue and when the Fire Department was done, I had a real mess, a hole in the roof, and a cracked wood stove glass door when the fire department sprayed the hot stove. Hawaiian construction was only contracted to do the living room damage but they went far beyond that, which I am so very thankful for. Before they could really begin, my deck needed to be rebuilt because it had collapsed. So the part needed was rebuilt by Ramon and he built it even better than the previous one. I was impressed by how well it was done. Next, they had to replace the whole floor because it was warped from all that water, then the whole wall behind the wood stove and the whole ceiling. I asked them to sheetrock the ceiling rather than the standard manufactured home ceiling, and they did, which looks much better. After all the repairs, they painted the whole living room, then they painted the next adjoining room and the dining room and into the master bedroom and then the master bathroom. They painted all of those rooms, and ceilings. After carpeting the living room, they also carpeted all of the other rooms they had painted as well! They even repaired a hole in the ceiling of the master bathroom, and in the floor. They really surprised me with a lot of the things they did. Even a new kitchen floor. They even replaced my garbage disposal, a complete surprise to me! The insurance company said they would not replace the wood stove because it was the cause of the fire. Then I was really surprised when I walked in the house and found a new wood stove waiting for me. I don't know how they did it but I was very grateful for that and very shocked they had done it. They did tell me they like to do extra work for veterans, a very humble understatement, and they went far beyond just extra work. In fact, they did so much that I may have left something out. Altogether, they repaired, carpeted, painted, and replaced things in three fourths of the entire house, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, when the job was to be for a single room! I can't imagine they even made much for the job. They did so much extra work they may have even taken a loss for all I know. And I'm even late leaving this review, for which I must deeply apologize to Hawaiin Construction. I would highly recommend this company for anyone needing repairs to their home. The work is great and they take care of their clients.

In December I contacted HCL to repair damage due to a burst bathroom pipe. It took several back and forth conversations with my insurance company, but a contract was finally signed. Progress was slow, and communication was sparse. Several times I asked the worker to give me updates, but I usually had to contact him. Although a few issues cropped up during the repair, and were addressed to my satisfaction, I felt that my job was not high on their list of priorities, and while I am pleased with the quality of work, and will consider using them again, I did not feel like a valued customer.

We found the entire crew of Hawaiian Construction friendly and competent. They we able to provide design assistance as well as perform excellent general contracting when we had to reconstruct our bathroom after damage from a water leak. They performed admirably, given the restrictions of the pandemic & they navigated the insurance claim with ease. We are very happy with their work! We would definitely use them again.

Robert was such a refreshing experience in the contracting world. I had him come out because my previous contractor created new issues while trying to repair existing issues (the other contractor caulked the weep holes in the windows, which Robert pointed out). He's clearly a bright, sharp individual who's experience is apparent in any discussion. He doesn't play the price gouge game and his work is quick and efficient. Robert is very experienced in dealing with insurance and damage repairing. He went to my house to diagnose water leaking in a heavy snow day, appreciate that. We run into an issue on old floor heating, he is patient and lift up some tiles he already placed to fix it.

I hired Hawaiian Construction LLC to take care of my Water Damage that occurred in my kitchen refrigerator Supply Line. I called Hawaiian Construction LLC based off the great work they have done for me in the past water loss in my laundry room. I hired Hawaiian Construction LLC and that is when Robert took over. All I had to do is tell my insurance company that is was ok to talk to Robert regarding my claim. Robert made his estimate and he explained after seeing how low my insurance company sent me theirs how he could help and talk to my adjuster to get the numbers we would both agree on. So Hawaiian Construction LLC came in and started the job. Hawaiian Construction LLC is very careful in maintaining a safe work space during all their time at my home as well as keeping the job site area clean and clear of any debris. Hawaiian Construction LLC does great professional work and my kitchen. Robert told me the truth that when his company is hired he works for the me and not my insurance company. And that is exactly what he did. Robert went to bat for me against my insurance company and did what he said he would do and that was get me everything needed for my claim and more. I highly recommend Hawaiian Construction LLC for doing your insurance claim if you ever have one. I promise he will do the same as he did for me. My lower floor is now so beautiful now compared to before. I will always call Robert and Julie at Hawaiian Construction LLC for all my repair and remodeling needs and I highly recommend them for you as well.
